Expanding Beyond Coffee - A Vision for Vietnamese Tea
At NK HOLDINGS, we have expanded beyond coffee, making tea a core pillar of our business. Since 2018, we have actively supported agricultural development in Vietnam's Central Highlands and mountainous regions by investing in soil improvement, research, and sustainable farming. Our goal is to map, develop, and elevate Vietnam’s specialty teas, unlocking their true global potential.
Vietnamese Tea - A Legacy of Tradition with Untapped Potential
Tea has been cherished in Vietnam for thousands of years, with the country boasting rare and valuable tea-growing regions that have long captured the attention of tea connoisseurs worldwide.
However, despite this rich heritage, Vietnamese tea remains largely underdeveloped in the global market. Most exports are limited to raw materials, and the industry lacks the scale, infrastructure, and branding needed to fully realize its potential.
Key challenges include:
- A lack of sustainable farming and harvesting methods
- Limited access to advanced tea processing technologies
- A gap between traditional tea cultivation and evolving global consumer trends
These barriers have made it difficult for Vietnamese tea to establish a strong presence in the world's competitive tea markets.
A Partnership of Experts - Elevating Vietnamese Tea to Global Standards
Since 2018, NK HOLDINGS has collaborated with internationally certified tea appraisal experts, including Baisharyu 梅舎流, led by Japanese tea master Nguyễn Thị Hà Thủy—a highly respected figure in the tea ceremony tradition.
At NK HOLDINGS, we specialize in chemical-free farming techniques combined with cutting-edge agricultural technology to produce high-quality, sustainable tea products. Master Hà Thủy personally leads our R&D and processing initiatives, developing a new generation of premium Vietnamese tea designed to meet the strict quality demands of markets such as Japan and Singapore.
Together, we are ensuring that Vietnamese tea becomes a staple in global “must-have” supply chains.
Our Focus - Developing Two Signature Tea Lines
Export Capacity: 1300 tons per year
'Hidden Gem' - San Tuyet Tea
We are committed to preserving and expanding the legacy of San Tuyet Tea (Trà San Tuyết), often referred to as the 'Hidden Gem' of Vietnamese tea.
This unique, ancient tea variety thrives in untouched forests and sun-kissed mountain slopes, flourishing in mineral-rich, mist-covered peaks at elevations of 1,200m to 2,400m.
These pristine conditions give San Tuyet tea trees their:- Exceptional purity
- Brilliant golden infusion
- Diverse flavor complexity—from delicate floral aromas to deep, honeyed sweetness

Foundational Tea Line - Taiwanese Cultivar
To meet broader market demand, NK HOLDINGS also cultivates and refines Taiwanese tea varieties, widely used in the affordable and everyday tea segments across global markets.
Our tea-growing region in Bao Loc, Lam Dong, is located at an optimal altitude of 800m to 1,000m above sea level, benefiting from:- A mild climate and morning mist, preserving tea freshness
- Fertile basalt soil, enhancing tea quality
- High humidity and temperatures (15-25°C), encouraging slow growth and rich nutrient accumulation
Through strategic partnerships, innovative farming, and an unwavering commitment to quality, NK HOLDINGS is leading the transformation of Vietnam's tea industry—bridging centuries of tradition with cutting-edge innovation to create a sustainable, high-value Vietnamese tea brand recognized worldwide.
Reviving Lao Ancient Tea - Redefining Its Place on the World Tea Map
In the high mountains ofPhongsaly Province, northern Laos—where the cool climate meets mineral-rich soil—grow some of the world's most precious ancient tea trees, aged from 400 to over 1,000 years. These wild Camellia sinensis var. assamica trees, closely related to the famed Pu'er tea of Yunnan, China, produce a uniquely deep, sweet aftertaste and possess untapped global potential.Despite this extraordinary heritage, local ethnic communities such as the Phunoy people lack the technical training and access to modern processing tools, leaving most of the tea in raw form, with limited value. As a result, these ancient teas remain underdeveloped, largely dependent on foreign traders, and absent from the global premium tea market. With proven success in revitalizing ancient tea regions in Ha Giang, Vietnam, NK HOLDINGS is launching a long-term initiative to unlock the potential of Lao ancient tea, guided by four strategic pillars:
Transfer of international-standard harvesting and processing techniques, from plucking and pan-roasting to packaging and preservation.

Establishment of local processing facilities and sustainable quality control systems.

Empowerment of local communities through training, enabling them to become skilled producers and brand stewards.

Global repositioning of Lao ancient tea, connecting it with premium markets and building a distinct highland-origin identity.
We believe that with the right knowledge, tools, and partnerships,Lao ancient tea can evolve from a hidden heritage into a source of sustainable income for highland communities. More than just a beverage, it is a cultural legacy—and a powerful key to poverty reduction, economic resilience, and global recognition.
